My mouse is wireless and has a laser rather than a ball

But anyway, recently, i can't remember since when, but it's been acting weird
Sometimes it won't let me click on my open programs in the tool bar, when i move my cursor over them they aren't even highlighted, i usually have to wait a while before i can click on them again, however i can still use the program i have open, which is usually the internet, which works fine!
Sometimes the reverse happens and i can't click on anything in the internet but i can open my other programs, additionally when this happens buttons like the show desktop button does not work.

Also sometimes when hovering my cursor over an internet tab will instantly close it without me pressing anything at all, then when i decide to open a new tab it opens 2 or 3 tabs.

Then the wheel of my mouse will act as if it's been clicked and will scroll when i haven't touched it.

I've run virus scans but they haven't done anything for my mouse issues, so i have no idea what's going on with it! It's incredibly frustrating!!!

As a workstation specialist with 2 a long time experience i would 'Feed it'. maximum mice choose, some Hex decimals an afternoon, with a processor or 2 at the weekend. at the distinct hand, and heavily, a mouse at present is relatively low-fee and being in many instances mechanical contraptions do put on out relatively quick. i would purchase a brand new mouse. If the location persists with the hot mouse then it could be the relationship interior of the computing gadget. If not, then you definately do have a genuine issue, that could be an endemic.

The statement "usually it takes a while to do X" signals to me that overall your computer might just be slow or too slow for the tasks you are giving it. I would also recommend you replace the batteries in you're mouse immediately. Computers do she just killer people, updates, new software, certain websites can slow down computers without knowledge of the user. If your using windows 7, try looking up you're "windows experience index" score & compare it to other people on the internet using the same PC model. I would also suggest running "disk cleanup" on your computer and restarting. Both of these methods can be done following instructional videos on YouTube. They are Very easy methods to clean up/optimize your computer.

Btw - I would absolutely not recommend buying/downloading any software to "optimize" your computer, they all suck and windows has some of the best tools available if you take a few minutes to learn how to use them.

Try using it on a different surface. Or maybe you could get a new one...big deal?
