I have a PC having ASRock Mainboard with no SATA ports. I have used a converter to connect my SATA hard drive to primary IDE port of the mainboard, But when I connected my DVD RW drive (It has a jumper setting to SLAVE) to secondary IDE drive and start my computer it shows a red colored startup massage showing "IDE drives installation error!!!......" and system hangs up.

What should I do?

the ide adapter should have a jumper area that you can set master/slave. Ensure it is set to master.

I think the culprit is your converter because everything looks in order, try booting with your sata drive only and see if works also try in a second pc if you get the same error then you can be sure your converter is faulty
