Hi,
If it says "unallocated" then there is no "volume" on that partition, so you just need to stretch another volume over the unallocated space and you're sweet. To create your previous partition, you will have needed to use some software to shrink your old volume - you should be able to use the same software to expand that same volume again. If you don't know how to do this, you can use Easeus Partition Master (link below) as its free and works well - just use the nice little graphic feature and drag the right hand side of the bar all the way to the right.
Best of luck

Partitioning on a windows system is not a good idea, it really does not have any of the advantages people state, as most of those only apply to running too distinct physical hard drives. you can not remove unallocated space, you would need to expand the primary partition to use it. Under Vista this can be done from the disk manager in control panel. Any previous systems will require you to use a partition manager program.

unallocated means that you have an amount of space on you hard disk which has not been partitioned, I don't know you've done this with which utility but if it is less than 100 MB, don't touch it and if not:
you need to create a new partition in it or just merge it with one of the others,
How?
just right click on your My computer icon and select manage(if your OS is XP) then choose disk management and try to make a new logical drive on this unallocated area by right click on its special area.
You may use Partition magic software if is available.

Boot up in WIN98, circulate to command instantaneous, on the C:/WIN98 instantaneous variety "FDISK". follow the on exhibit instructions and get rid of WIN98 Partition. or you may purchase a application noted as Partition Commander for type of $50 USD makes it way much less confusing and quite sensible for different desires.
