Logitech cordless internet pro is a very good and inexpensive unit, i have been using mine for about three weeks and I love it. It is very smooth, and it has never been jumpy at all like the one I had before this one. Works with vista as well. cost $28.00 @ walmart, and for $39.00 you can get it with a set of speakers which are quit good for the price. I am a computer tech, and have been in business for over 15 years, and I have tried most of these things out in the shop.

Why do you want a wireless mouse/keyboard? The reason should determine what kind you get. I got a Logitech very inexpensive one to begin with because I wasn't sure how good they would work. I loved mine altho it did need to have the batteries in both mouse & keyboard changed but only about every 4-6 weeeks. THe key to realizing when new batteries are needed is that things don't work the way they should. I wanted the wireless set up because my desk doesn't have a lot of room. I loved it. My mouse "tail" didn't keep getting caught in my pencil holder or tangled up with my keyboard extension cord. WHen I got my new computer the old wireless outfit wouldn't fit because it didn't have a USB connection on it. Haven't replaced it yet. There are many brands and different prices available for wireless sets. My first one was $14.95 at WalMart. Other 'brand names had price tags up to $40-$60 to over a hundred dollars. I'm sure the more expensive ones might work smoother and need less battery changes than cheaper ones. However, don't get caught up in the 'more expensive the better it is' mentality. A medium priced one is probably as good as you need. If you're not sure if you'll like the wireless idea, you might want to get an inexpensive one to start with so you don't waste a lot of money if you don't like it once you get it! If you love the setup you can upgrade to a better quality later.

The Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse has a nice feel to it.

The wireless mice go through batteries every week. You should also buy rechargeable batteries to save money.

Get 4-6 2500mAh rechargeable batteries and a charger.
