My Internet Explorer 7.0 (Or most recent) is running really really slow, but I have 1 1/2 gigs of RAM and it says on a widget that I am using around 34-39% out of 100% of that RAM. I just installed RAM Medic to help me clean out my RAM, but I think that is why IE is going slow. Can anyone help me out? I Put by target RAM on RAM Medic at 700 MB (Remember I have 1.50 gigs of RAM) I am also on a Toshiba Tecra M4 Tablet running Windows XP OS

I wish I had that much of RAM!

Your problem is surely not RAM

Use Firefox instead of IE 7 and your problem will be resolved in no time.

Most computer users have been trained that if you want more speed for your computer, then add more memory. Well, this is true, in certain circumstances. But for most of the times, it really is just bad files in your registry files. Corrupted or missing registry files can make your computer too slow.

The registry is a main part of your computer's Operating System. With time, as you use Windows and install and uninstall programs, your registry will get congested and full of errors. So your computer could slow down. So, if you can clean it up this problem can be solved.Sometimes you can speed computer up by 300%. To clean up registry,You can download a software called regsitry cleaner---Clean registry, remnant, corrupt files and temp files,history,cookies,etc.. This site:

http://makepcfaster.info

lists top 5 registry cleaner, you can download and scan for free.

Good luck!

this is because IE stinks. IMO the fastest web browser is Opera. Instead of Ram Medic I would run spyware and virus. and you need to clean out your CACHE: Go to Tools>Internet Options>Browsing History>Delete Temporary Internet Files.

i be attentive to there are greater knowledgable human beings than me who provide you sturdy solutions.. I hear Vista makes use of up dissimilar that memory(ram) then as quickly as you upload additonal courses and have those working too, all of that purely slows the pc down. verify you sparkling out your temp. int information and all and attempt to maintain courses which you arent working closed (like dont have them open as courses to the left of your clock) purely my advice, see in case you are able to swap lower back to abode windows XP, i think of that makes use of much less RAM than Vista. discover out what the max ram your dell will carry, and how many slots you have total, or obtainable and consistent with possibility upload some greater memory on your gadget to assist velocity it up. thats all i've got been given, im particular others will upload lots greater greater powerful stuff than me, desire it helped!

I do not think the RAM is your problem, what is your processor speed. If that is slow it can make your computer slow. Also viruses slow down your computer so you should check it. I reccomend BitDefender.
