Video card hangs when playing Counter Strike Source?

Just when I start the world in counter strike source, the screen freezes, and then the screen turns off (but computer is still on)

eMachines T3112
upgraded to:
1.25 GB of RAM
1.8 GHz
600-Watt Power Supply Unit
ATI RADEON X1300 512 MB AGP8x
Any suggestions?

Hmmmm... Sounds like an Incompatible Display Adapter. Your PC seems to be a very good one. But I don't think the problem is with your display adapter because Radeon is a good Display adapter in itself, but GeForce Nividia is recommendable. Alright i ain't telling you to change your display card! Update those drivers of the display card. And check with your processor. Incompatible processors cause such problems. I used to play counter strike on a Pentium 3 computer with 192MB of RAM and 450 Mhz! I think the problem is with the processer check with it! Normally AMD Athlon is advisable for gaming. And believe me Pentium is just a name it tottaly sux!

your video memory means squat if you dont have the GPU (graphical processing unit) to back it up. what type of card is it, are you sure its a card and not onboard video.

go to bestbuy and ask for a good video card

thta videocard is kinda weak ... make sure u have the latest driver for the card ... and make sure it isnt overheating ...
