Integrated Graphics cards in general only provide adequate performance for basic applications, web surfing, word processing etc. if you are considering using this chipset in any gaming enviroments, you would be well served by a "dedicated" graphics card ,usually agp,or a newer style "pci Xpress" card common now adays.

None of the intel graphics cards are very powerful compared to high end 3d video cards. I highly recommend that you use either an nVidia based GeForce graphics card or an ATI Radeon graphics card. You don't have to spend lots of money to get a good graphics card either: See www.pricewatch.com for pricing information. $60 to $90 will get you a pretty powerful card.

You can also visit www.anandtech.com or www.tomshardware.com to see different comparisons of computer hardware including video cards.

Also, please note that if you have a built in video card, you could easily install another video card and use it instead, just make sure that you have a PCI Express or AGP slot available in your computer. You can usually find out on the manufacturer's website or by putting your computer model number into a search engine.

If you're talking about a graphics card for gaming, no integrated card can match a separate card (well, unless it's a really lame separate card). Also, Integrated graphics generally share memory with the computer; if you want to play state of the art games you need a separate card like a GeForce 6800 / 7800 or ATI X800 or 1000-series.

No. It's basically the cheapest video chip/card you can get.

Fine for 2D apps like internet / office. Will probably run 1-2+ year old 3D games OK. Will not work at all for newer games since Doom 3.
